US Open 2008 - Day 1

The US Open is probably my favourite tennis grand slam event so I was pretty excited this morning to be heading to the opening day of the tournament. I had a grounds ticket for the day session which meant I could come and go as I pleased around any of the courts except for the Arthur Ashe Stadium. (read more…)

Wimbledon Men’s Final 2008

Being in a different timezone sucks for watching live sport in Europe but there was no way I was going to miss this year’s Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, so up I woke at 6am and boy was it worth it! (read more…)

Spain Win Euro 2008

Three wins out of three in the group stages. In the quarter-finals they completely outplayed arch-rivals Italy and eventually won on penalties. Our first trophy since winning the same cup in 1999. Chelsea thought they could win four trophies this season. Well they can scratch this one off the list. Spurs outplayed them and deservedly won. (read more…)

Las Vegas

We all know the old saying - what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! So obviously I can’t reveal too much about the last few days which I spent there. We stayed in the Planet Hollywood which was quite nice. A discreet $20 tip to the check-in clerk got us a room upgrade. Sleeping was kept to a minimum each day and only occurred a couple of hours each side of noon. (read more…)

Spurs humiliate Arsenal

(Prologue: I’m a Spurs fan.) Oh happy day! We didn’t just beat the enemy, we walloped them 5-1!!! One, two, three, four, five. Count them! (read more…)
