Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

I love the dark style of Tim Burton and I’ve nothing against a good musical every now and then but for some reason I didn’t really connect with this film. I’m sure that if I give it another chance I’ll appreciate the music more but when watching it I kept waiting impatiently for each song to finish. It felt to me that what was achieved with a three minute song could have been done with a couple of lines of dialogue.

There were some things to like about it. Johnny Depp was great as usual and there was lots and lots of blood which is always a riot. 4 crumbs out of 10.
