The Daily Show & The Colbert Report

After an agonising nine weeks off the air due to the writer’s strike, both ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ and ‘The Colbert Report’ were back on Comedy Central last night. Even though the strike is still ongoing, the network has brought the shows back without their writers (in response to Letterman, Leno, Conan et al returning last week). While neither show was at its best, they still managed quite well with Colbert in particular being very funny.

Stephen Colbert is my idol! If I make it to New York sometime later this year I’m going to make sure I get tickets to a recording of the show. Hopefully the writers will be back soon.
