Live Free or Die

This 2006 film is about a witless wannabe criminal and his unwitting accomplice getting up to no good in New Hampshire. Well, they think they’re getting up to no good when really they’re hardly a blip on the radar.

Aaron Stanford is good as the guy who talks the talk but has barely committed a crime in his life but Paul Schneider is really great as the semi-retard who looks up to him. The lovely Zooey Deschanel plays his sister and is the straight character who allows us to get some laughs from the other two.

Live Free Or Die

It’s the type of film that could easily have fallen flat but the two writer/directors, who had previously worked on Seinfeld, nicely captured the quirky, small-town humour. 5 crumbs out of 10.
