The Village
I missed this 2004 film in the cinema, probably intentionally as I think Shyamalan is a numpty, but I watched it tonight for some reason. Shyamalan certainly has some talent in filmmaking but not as a full-on writer/director. His best asset is probably ripping off Hitchcock.

Shyamalan continues his trend of making good actors look like amateurs. The next sentence is kind of a spoiler for those who haven’t seen the film. I figured out the boring twist in the first few seconds of the film which just makes the rest of it seem embarrassing. Oh yeah, what’s the whole film about? Well there’s this small village of people in 19th century Pennsylvania who keep to themselves and always warn the children never to venture into the woods because of the “creatures”. Ooooooooh! 3 crumbs out of 10.
