Stanley Park
My legs were in much, much pain after yesterday’s hours of walking so I decided to remedy that by walking even more today and turning that pain into a blinding numbness. Off I trekked to Stanley Park, a 1,000 acre parkland covering the north-west area of the downtown peninsula.

Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver
It has a 9km seawall that goes all the way around the perimeter and is popular with walkers, joggers, cyclists and rollerbladers. I had intended to walk the whole way around but read that a storm last December damaged part of the seawall and so a big part of it was still off limits while restoration works were ongoing. After a few kilometers, detour signs take you through the park where one can enjoy such pleasures as squirrels scaring the bejaysus out of you.
